Dr King graduated from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1991. He completed his specialist training in gastroenterology and general medicine on the South East Thames Specialist Registrar training rotation which included posts at King's College Hospital Liver Unit and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. He undertook research at St Thomas' Hospital, which led to a PhD from the University of London.

Dr King enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology but has special interests in endoscopy, gastrointestinal cancer, pancreatic and biliary disorders and viral hepatitis.

Dr King provides an outpatient practise covering all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology at Spire Harpenden Hospital. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonscopy onsite at Spire. His NHS links allow him to offer comprehensive and rapid investigation and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal complaints.
