Rapid Access Low-Cost Hernia Surgery Service

Spire Harpenden Hospital has launched a new Low-Cost Rapid Access Hernia Repair Service, specifically aimed at self-funded patients. This clinic will allow self-paying patients to save hundreds of pounds on their hernia repair surgery.

  • Low price as a result of reduced anaesthesia costs (local anaesthetic used where appropriate).
  • Speedy recovery due to use of local anaesthetic (where appropriate), which is ideal for busy and self-employed patients.
  • No waiting list (same day see-and-treat protocol available if required).
  • Low recurrence rates because all consultants involved have carried out a large number of various hernia procedures over many years.
  • Full clinical back-up of a large hospital facility, which many smaller private clinics cannot provide.
