Eye surgeons (Ophthalmologists) at the hospital are able to treat cataracts, retinal problems, macular problems and many more eye conditions.

Our ophthalmic surgeons perform a variety of eye procedures including “keyhole” refractive cataract surgery, intra-vitreal injections for wet age-related macular degeneration, oculoplastic surgery, selective laser trabeculoplasty for glaucoma, squint surgery as well as minor ops.

Treatment is within a purpose built hospital environment at Spire Shawfair Park. Our facilities house some of the latest diagnostic technology and cutting edge theatre environments. Any treatment or procedure required will be carried out in our day-case theatre. Depending on your procedure and your preference, a range of anaesthetic options (including local, general and eye drops) are available.
