Permanent cosmetics, also known as micropigmentation, is available at Spire Murrayfield Hospital.
Micropigmentation is a form of tattooing, which can help achieve a number of different cosmetic and restorative effects. Micropigmentation, also known as permanent make-up, uses pharmaceutical-grade pigments to shade or colour areas of skin. The pigment is typically administered to the second, or dermal, layer of skin and can last up to 18 months.
Micropigmentation has many cosmetic applications and can be used to recreate over-plucked eyebrows, create permanent eye or lip liner. Micropigmentation can also be used in nipple reconstruction and to ease the appearance of scarring.

"Micropigmentation is a form of cosmetic tattooing which is divided into two areas, Facial procedures and Paramedical Procedures.
"Facial work consists of treatment to replace or enhance eyebrows which have been over plucked or lost through the ageing process, illness or medication. I also provide eyeliner and lip enhancement procedures. These treatments are also known as Permanent Cosmetics, Semi Permanent Make Up or Cosmetic Tattooing.
"Paramedical treatments consist of procedures such as areola complex reconstruction, MCA scar reduction and dermal pigmentation for conditions such as Vitiligo and Alopecia, often referred to as medical tattooing."
