Professional profile:
Following 30 years as head of several large clinical psychology departments, I established Working Psychology Scotland to provide a high quality mental health and expert witness service registered with the main health providers.
As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), I am experience in the full range of adult mental health issues. This includes acute psychiatric to chronic problems, such as anxiety and depression, as well as reactive problems, like traumatic stress and health-related psychological issues. Chronic pain management is a particular area of interest, with occupational mental health (eg. stress) and couples counselling other areas of expertise. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is my main focus and I am trained in hypnotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
