Background Information 
Professional profile:

I completed my degree in Chemistry before reading medicine. I qualified from Edinburgh in 1990. My surgical training was largely in Edinburgh and South East Scotland with a brief sojourn to Leeds and Manchester. My practice covers all areas of Coloproctology and includes hernia surgery and excision of minor skin lesions.

Instrumental in developing laparoscopic colorectal surgery in Edinburgh and now establishing an advanced therapeutic colonoscopy service in Edinburgh.

I am also a founding member of the Edinburgh Colorectal Specialists LLP.

 

Personal profile:
I am married to Liz and we have four young children. I can often be found cheering them on from the side of a hockey pitch, football pitch or curling rink. To relax I enjoy golf, five a side football, crosswords and water colour painting.
