Professional profile:
I completed all of my surgical and orthopaedic training in Edinburgh and an additional year of Foot and Ankle specialist training in Melbourne, Australia.

I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, primarily as a foot and ankle surgeon, but I also treat paediatric trauma and adolescent foot problems at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

I deal with all aspects of foot and ankle surgery from bunion surgery to complex hindfoot deformities. I use many of the new techniques including scarf osteotomy, ankle arthroscopy, 1st MTP joint resurfacing and endoscopic plantar fascia release.
Personal profile:
I live in Edinburgh with my wife and son.

My main interest outside medicine is rugby and I played for Boroughmuir RFC and Dundee HSFP.
