Professional profile:
I am a Consultant Radiologist of seven years standing. I work on a full-time basis at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and have been attending Spire Murrayfield for six years. I provide a broad service in all aspects of diagnostic imaging. I have a particular interest in vascular/interventional radiology and have extensive experience in venous thrombosis diagnosis (doppler ultrasound) and treatment of vein and artery occlusions with stenting. I also provide non-invasive imaging of chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins, and also peripheral vascular (arterial) screening for intermittent claudication. I have helped in expanding the colour doppler ultrasound service and perform carotid doppler to assess transient ischaemic attacks and cerebral ischaemia.
Personal profile:
I am married to Deirdre (who nurses at the Royal Blind School) and have two children, Jennifer aged 12 and David aged 10.

I enjoy DIY home restoration, country walking and rugby (as a spectator!).
