    Professional profile:
    I am a general neurologist dealing with all aspects of suspected and confirmed neurological disease, including common conditions such as headache and dizziness. I commenced my undergraduate training took place in Nottingham. My postgraduate training followed in Newcastle, Nottingham, Derby, Cambridge and the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square, London. I was appointed Consultant to the Edinburgh teaching hospitals in 1995.
    Personal profile:
    I take an interest in the interface between medicine and law. I have given expert evidence in legal cases in Scotland, England and Ireland. I am the co-author of the neurology chapter in a major undergraduate textbook of medicine and the author of a book giving advice on interview technique to medical students and junior hospital doctors.
