    Dr Neumann graduated from Giessen University in Germany in 1983. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) there in 1987. He trained in neurology in Essen University Hospital and obtained a higher degree (Facharzt) in 1993. Afterwards, he worked in Germany, Saudi Arabia and Dubai before coming to Edinburgh in 2004. He is a full-time NHS consultant undertaking general neurology clinics, MS clinics and a 'First Seizure Clinic' in Falkirk. He provided the headache clinic at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience Edinburgh for three years.
