I have been a practising anaesthetist for 34 years, with over 25 years' experience in the independent sector, initially at St Raphaels' Hospital and the Edinburgh Private Clinic. I am a founder member of the Medical Society at the Murrayfield Hospital in 1984. My current practice includes general and regional anaesthesia for paediatric, orthopaedic, ENT, ophthalmic and general surgery; high quality post-operative pain relief with the use of regional analgesic techniques; high dependency care following major colorectal surgery and hypnosis to relieve anxiety and augment pharmacological pain relief.
