    I am a consultant radiologist at the Western General, a 600-bed Teaching Hospital, providing imaging services for internationally important departments of Colorectal Surgery, Oncology and Urology. There are academic departments of GI medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Haematology, an Acute Receiving Unit for General Medical and Colorectal Surgical cases and a Minor Injuries Unit.

    I was Lead Clinician in Radiology for three years from 2003 to 2006.

    I have thirteen years experience in private practice at the Murrayfield Hospital, involving mainly ultrasound, CT scanning, MR scanning and general screening.
    Personal profile:
    My interests include playing jazz and blues piano, writing and drawing, bird-watching and gardening.

    I am married to an art teacher and we have two children.
