"Even little things, like putting a life jacket on for canoeing trips became difficult and uncomfortable. I can now fit easily into standard clothes."

“From the moment I arrived, everyone was very nice and friendly – the nurses knew me by name, they were expecting me – the whole experience was very professional. I wasn’t treated in an over-serious manner, so I felt relaxed and comfortable from the outset. The doctors put me at ease and were chatty, with a relaxing way about them; nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It seemed as though everyone worked as a team very well.
My overall patient satisfaction for treatment and after-care was excellent. Although I picked up an infection after withdrawal of my drain tube, I was called in the next day and Cecilia and Pamela were waiting for me. They patched me up and sent me back home in no time.
I don’t lack confidence, but, prior to my surgery, I was aware of my physical being more than I felt I really should have been. I’ve always had very large breasts, but I had become abnormally aware of them. People seem to be more willing to make comments about large breasts than they ever would about a large nose. I became very uncomfortable about comments, and compounding this, I was physically in discomfort.
Even little things, like putting a life jacket on for canoeing trips became difficult and uncomfortable. I can now fit easily into standard clothes. The procedure made a remarkable difference in ways that I never would have expected, in fact, the benefits have grown exponentially beyond my personal expectations.
Ultimately, you have to do what you want, the choice has to be made because you want to make a difference; never make the choice on anyone else’s recommendations. Only ever make the choice to get surgery if you want it, not because other people say you should, because otherwise you’ll be miserable with your body forever, it has to be for yourself.
It is dangerous having an operation but you have to relax into it because if you get yourself stressed that can cause problems, you can make yourself anxious and may even back out of the surgery altogether. Rest assured that, for me, the benefits far outweighed my original feelings of stress. Hospital Consultants know what they’re doing, and although it’s difficult to accept, you just have to relax into it.”

"I would like to once again thank the staff at Spire Murrayfield for the great care and attention I have received every time I have visited and most particularly during my overnight post-surgery stay.
From the first moment my husband and I attended the cosmetic surgery seminar at Beechwood House in February, through to the after-care appointments following my surgery in April, I have been extremely pleased with the friendliness, care and attention to detail apparent of all your staff.
It was a relief to have the opportunity to stay overnight following my surgery and I would not do it any other way. The attention and care I received from the nurses was very reassuring during the night and they were only too happy to assist me. They were friendly and kind and checked in regularly to make sure I was comfortable.
Having now been through the procedure and experienced the post-surgery discomfort that is inevitable with this surgery, I would not ever opt for a day surgery alternative.
I would highly recommend Spire Murrayfield as an excellent and professional provider of this procedure to any one considering it.
My surgeon was highly qualified, knowledgeable and skilled, which is apparent in the excellent results he has achieved. I am extremely pleased with the outcome overall."
