Background Information
Professional profile:
Mr Isaac Nyamekye graduated from University of Bristol Medical School in 1988 and trained in general and vascular surgery at University College London, Sheffield, and Bristol.

The emphasis of his private practice is the expert treatment of varicose veins. Since 2004 he has embraced and practiced the minimally invasive techniques for treating varicose veins. These endovenous treatments have virtually eliminated the need for groin incision and stripping, leading to significantly improved patient satisfaction and early return to normal activity. The long term results of endovenous treatment also match, and in some cases better the results of varicose vein surgery.

Through The Vein Clinic Ltd (www.the_vein_clinic.com) Mr Nyamekye is committed to providing the highest standard of surgical assessment and the minimally invasive treatment of suitable varicose veins, within specialist clinics. At your consultation, he will personally perform a full colour duplex ultrasound scan of your leg. Mr Nyamekye and you will then consider which treatment option would best suit your requirements in terms of suitability, speed of recovery and long term outcome. You will then be in a position to choose the treatment option that best suits your individual needs, priorities and lifestyle.

Mr Nyamekye also undertakes a comprehensive range of arterial vascular operations and transthoracic sympathectomy for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Personal profile:

I keenly follow competitive sport, having previously played rugby, squash and cricket. I am a keen supporter of, and debenture holder, at Worcester Rugby Club. When the weather and my young family permit, I succumb to the challenge of trying to keep a golf ball under control.

I am currently the treasurer of teh Venous Forum of the Royal Society of Medicine, and I have recently elected to serve a three year term on the council of the Vascular Society.

I have presented and authored on a wide range of vascular subjects and I review papers for a number of international medical journals.
