Professional profile:
Having successfully completed his medical training in Liverpool, Mr Docker obtained his Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics and Trauma on the prestigious Oswestry ~Training Programme. He has previously worked as a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University Hospitals Birmingham Trust in the regional Trauma centre. In 2007 he was appointed to Worcester Acute Hospitals Trust working for the NHS based in Worcester and Kidderminster. He brings his many skills from his previous posts with him to Worcestershire.

Since training in general Orthopaedics and Trauma surgery, he has undertaken fellowship training in primary and revision lower limb Arthroplasty surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, working with world-renowned surgeons.

Mr Docker is actively involved in research and has a specific interest in medical education. He has published academic papers on numerous orthopaedic subjects and is an advisor and author for the Oxford University Press.

He has received extensive training in current techniques for joint replacement surgery, including total Hip replacement, Hip resurfacing and Hip revision. Knee surgery, total and partial Knee replacement. He is up to date with current advice and thinking with regards to reduction of surgical complications, including infection and thromboembolism. He uses ODEP rated implants for total Hip surgery and utilises the Nation Joint Registry (www.njrcentre.org.uk)

Personal profile:
Mr Charles Docker was born in Birmingham and has strong family links with the Midlands. He is keen on sports, including football, cricket and rugby. He enjoys running and cycling and has partaken in a number of charity events including running the Edinburgh Marathon in aid of a local childrens hospice.

For relaxation, Mr Docker enjoys spending time with his 2 children and reading.
