Wrinkles are caused by everyday factors like sun damage, smoking and facial expressions including laughing or frowning. As you get older the elasticity of your skin reduces too, and wrinkles naturally form - injectable procedures can help to reduce wrinkles for younger looking skin.
We offer a range of treatments by injection to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These injectable procedures help to smooth out facial wrinkles especially frown lines on the forehead, wrinkles around the eyes and laughter lines, without the need for surgery.
Injectable treatments are often used to slow down the effects of ageing and as a non-surgical alternative to facelifts or brow lifts.

About anti-wrinkle treatment by injection
There are a number of different injectable treatments that can reduce wrinkles, either used on their own or in combination with other techniques.
Muscle relaxants
Muscle relaxants (including Botox®) work by blocking the nerve impulses that cause muscle contraction. This paralyses small muscles in the face so they can’t cause creases and the skin stays smoother as a result.
The muscle relaxant is injected using a fine needle inserted in the area to be treated.
Wrinkle relaxing injections usually take around 15 minutes, depending on the amount and extent of wrinkles being treated. Treatment gradually takes effect over a week or two and usually lasts between three to four months. There is no recovery time needed after treatment, so you can carry on with your normal daily activities after leaving the hospital.
Dermal fillers
Another technique uses dermal fillers (including Juvéderm®), which are injected to plump out wrinkles and laughter lines. Juvéderm® is a smooth gel made from hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in your skin. It can be especially useful for smile lines or the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth.
The Juvéderm®, injection usually takes about 15 minutes and effects can last up to a year.
As with any cosmetic procedure, it is important that you review your expectations thoroughly before you decide to proceed. Your specialist will explain the results you can expect and will discuss the associated risks and alternatives to the injection before going ahead.
When you receive anti-wrinkle treatment by injection at Spire you will have the procedure performed by an experienced specialist in the safe and comfortable surroundings of a private hospital.
