Quality of care
Spire Cosmetic Surgery operates at 39 full-featured private hospitals that serve many thousands of patients every year. You can be assured that you are in a clean, modern facility that will provide you with the highest standards of quality and care.
All our consultants are on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC), and many are also members of the UK’s leading cosmetic and plastic surgery associations, the British Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
In 2008 Spire Healthcare won the prestigious Independent Healthcare Award for Best Healthcare Outcomes and followed this in 2009 with the Nursing Practice award for our approach to infection prevention and control. In 2010, Spire won the Nursing Practice award for the second year succession, together with the award for Excellence in Risk Management.
For each Spire Healthcare hospital we publish a range of performance measures including:
- MRSA blood infections
- clostridium difficile infections
- unplanned returns to theatre
- unplanned re-admission to hospital
We also publish ratings for the percentage of patients who would recommend our hospitals to others, dignity and respect, pain control, trust and confidence in our nurses and involvement in decisions about care and treatment.
