If you’re thinking about cosmetic surgery, a consultation with a qualified consultant is a critical step in achieving the change you are looking for.
At Spire Healthcare, we understand that taking this step can be nerve-wracking. That’s why many of our hospitals offer free mini consultations to anyone who is considering having a procedure done. A mini consultation is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and if you wish to proceed to surgery a full consultation with the consultant will be required.
A full consultation will take place in one of our hospitals, where you can see our facilities, meet the team and get a feel for the place.
During the consultation the consultant will discuss the procedure that you are considering in detail. They may examine you to help make sure you are suitable and they’ll take the time to talk through everything you need to know.
The consultation is also a chance for you to take advantage of their wealth of experience and ask questions about the particular procedure you are considering, the consultant’s background and their experience. You will also find about your likely recovery period and possible risks.
There can be a lot of information to take in during your full consultation, so take a pen and paper to note down what the consultant says. Some people also have more than one consultation before they decide to go ahead with surgery.
If, after your consultation, you’re ready to take the next step, we can give you a fixed price and a date for your procedure, so you can start the next phase of your cosmetic surgery journey. We normally encourage a two week cooling off period before going ahead with surgery, which is important so that there is no pressure to proceed with surgery.
