I have particular expertise in the management of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. I am the author of two books for patients with these conditions – Solve your Food Intolerance, (5th edition 2005) and Irritable Bowel Solutions (2007) both published by Vermilion (Ebury Press) London. I have published over 200 scientific articles and currently lead an active research team running studies of the gut microflora at Addenbrooke’s hospital together with Cranfield, Liverpool and Birmingham universities and the Open University.
Outside interests include walking, ski-ing, salmon fishing and English & French Literature.
