Background Information
Professional profile:
I graduated in 1984 and gained most of my post-graduate training in England. I am a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England. I completed my higher neurosurgical training in Leeds and Liverpool and was accredited as a neurosurgeon on the Specialist Register in 1998. I hold the degree of FRCS (Neuro. Surg.) and the European Certificate of Neurosurgery.

I have research interests in adjuvant therapy for benign intracranial tumours and neurovascular disease, in particular arterio-venous malformations. I was awarded MD degree for experimental research work on photodynamic therapy for human pituitary adenoma in Leeds.

In 1999 I was appointed as a clinical fellow in Skull Base surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada and I gained further experience in that field.

At Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, I assess all referrals for general neurosurgery and spine or those in particular related to my subspecialty interests in the out-patient clinic. Simple cranial and routine spinal surgery such as anterior cervical and lumbar microdiscectomies and cervical spine decompressions would be carried out at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.
