He has a strong research interest in the treatment of patients with lower limb ischaemia, both patients with intermittent claudication and critical limb ischaemia, and has published widely on this subject matter including winning a number of prizes for his work. He was awarded a MD thesis from the University of Leeds and his work has been funded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the BUPA foundation.  Other research interests include the training and education of junior surgeons.

He has also has a clinical and research interest in Raynauds phenomenon and specifically the Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome having also published and presented extensively on this condition.

Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds

He qualified from the University of Leeds in 1997 and undertook vascular surgical training in Hull, Leeds and Perth, Australia. He also undertook an endovascular fellowship at the world renowned St. Georges Hospital Vascular Institute in London where he was trained in techniques to deal with complex aortic aneurysmal disease. He is currently a Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. He provides a comprehensive modern vascular service across all aspects of vascular disease (arterial and venous).
