Having completed my medical degree at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in London, I undertook my Basic Surgical Training in Ipswich, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. After a period of research at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Institute of Urology, UCL, I was awarded an MD by the University of London. I undertook my specialist training in the Wessex region, working in the large hospitals in Hampshire. During my research period and subsequent registrar training, I published numerous papers on all aspects of urology in leading international urological journals. My subspecialist interest and development has taken me to leading units in London, Sheffield, USA (Dallas and North Carolina) and Australia, where I undertook a one year senior fellowship in Perth, Western Australia.
In addition to providing all aspects of urological care, I have a subspecialist interest in female urology, urinary tract reconstruction (including the treatment of male stricture disease), male and female incontinence treatments and bladder dysfunction investigation and management.
I am a partner in the Cambridge Urology Clinic, together with my Addenbrooke’s colleagues, Vincent Gnanapragasam and Nikesh Thiruchelvam, based exclusively at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.
