My Undergraduate and Postgraduate training was undertaken in London. I have gained wide experience in ENT working in a number of major teaching hospitals including Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, Great Ormond Street and the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery. I have been awarded three prestigious Fellowships, one in Sydney Australia and two in Cambridge. These have provided sub-specialisation training in Skull Base Surgery, Otology, Hearing Implantation Surgery and Ménière’s disease. During my higher surgical training I also undertook a Masters degree in Audiovestibular Medicine at University College London. My passion for hearing and balance disorders stems from the insight I gained into these fascinating and often challenging conditions. As a Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital I am a member of a team delivering high quality care in Skull Base Surgery, Otology and Hearing Implantation. I have been involved in establishing a weekly multidisciplinary balance clinic and the development of an endoscopic anterior and central skull base surgery service.
I am married and have two young children. A majority of my spare time is spent enjoying the company of my family. I endeavour to keep fit and periodically participate in Triathlons. I am an enthusiastic cyclist and in 2010 cycled from London to Paris in support of Action Medical Research. It has been a long-term goal of mine to learn to speak passable Spanish; this project is ongoing.
