Professional profile:
At the Gynaecological Cancer Centre at Addenbrooke's our expert team provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of women who have or may have gynaecological cancer. We provide a convenient out-patient hysteroscopy service for those women who need investigation, and this is also available at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. We provide an expert colposcopy service. We look after women from Cambridge and all over East Anglia, and even further, and currently serve a population of over 1.8 million. The management of women who have cancer or might have cancer requires expert and sympathetic care. Appopriateness of treatment is ensured by a multi-disciplinary approach. We have been developing laparoscopic techniques for benign and malignant disease which is transforming care for our women.
Personal profile:
I am married to Janet, a midwifery sister, and we have two children Tom and Aimee who are at school in Cambridge. I did my training in Brighton, London, Nottingham, Adelaide and Bristol. I am currently a Member of the Council of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, skiing and travelling.
