Background Information 
Professional profile:
Consultation facilities are available for general and paediatric ophthalmic problems. Most referrals are seen within two weeks. My general ophthalmic clinic takes place every Wednesday afternoon. Children with eye problems such as squint and amblyopia are usually seen in my Saturday clinic, which takes place once a month in conjunction with an orthoptist. Operations on adults and older children are performed at the Lea whilst most young children requiring surgery are admitted as day-cases under my care at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Personal profile:
I was appointed a consultant at Addenbrooke's in 2001 but have been in East Anglia for many years. I currently lead a busy life writing up my research in ocular genetics, working full time and raising three young sons.
