I qualified from Cambridge University in 1995 and, after specialist training in Cambridge and elsewhere in East Anglia, was appointed to Addenbrooke's Hospital in February 2007. My major clinical interest is in endoscopy. I am the clinical lead for Endoscopy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and for the Cambridge Bowel cancer screening centre and I am an assessor of endoscopy units and colonoscopists for national organisations. My main research interests are in the early diagnosis of bowel cancer and the immunology of Inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease). In addition to this, I have a practice involving all asects of general Gastroenterology.
