Dr Cameron G Densem is a Consultant Cardiologist working at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge and the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. He has a specialist interest in interventional cardiology but with a private practice covering all aspects of general cardiology (including chest pain, murmurs and valvular disease, palpitation, dizziness and blackout, shortness of breath and heart failure).
Dr Densem graduated with honours in 1993 and a first class degree in anatomy and human biology. The early post-graduate training occurred largely in Manchester. Between 2004 and 2006 he underwent a period of intense training in interventional cardiology at the Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia, Canada. This has led to a very broad clinical experience including advanced coronary angioplasty, percutaneous aortic valve replacement, advanced heart failure treatment and cardiac transplantation, and the management of rhythm disturbance and pacing. He acquired a research doctorate in medicine (MD) in 2003 based on his research on the development of coronary artery disease after cardiac transplantation.
