Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital was awarded an impressive 5 Star Elite Food Hygiene rating by South Cambridgeshire Environmental Health Department on 22nd June 2010.
The Elite Award is given to food businesses in South Cambridgeshire which achieve a Food Hygiene Star Rating of 5 Stars on TWO or more consecutive occasions. The award credits food businesses that maintain consistently high food hygiene standards.
Ruth Allgood, Facilities Manager said; "Its fantastic to have the dedication and hard work of our kitchen team recognised in such an important way".
Under the Food Safety Act 1990, environmental health inspectors are required to inspect food premises according to the Food Standards Agency Code of Practice.
